Working with individuals and their organisation

About

Tentpeg Consulting works with individuals and their organisations to enable them to “grow their influence” and effectiveness through putting down firm leadership foundations.

Our work includes Executive Coaching, clarifying purpose, mission and values, culture building and measurement, developing strategy, organisational health, employee engagement and individual and team effectiveness. We work with individuals and with teams using and building a range of measurement tools to support and monitor development and effectiveness.

In addition, Tentpeg offers coach supervision, sharing years of experience and learning with coaches who are wrestling with the demands of coaching and who are wanting to grow their coaching expertise.

We lead courses on Strengths Based Coaching and using the Gallup Strengths Finder as a coaching tool.

Jill Garrett

With over 40 years in leadership roles across sectors and continents, I’ve had the privilege of working with global corporations, small charities, churches, family businesses and international groups. I’ve worked with household names and grassroots causes — and have found deep meaning in all.

Throughout my career, I’ve been idealistic about what leadership can achieve, while remaining commercially grounded. I believe great leadership combines purpose with performance.

Much of what I’ve learned has come through experience — and, often, through mistakes. One of my own measures of success has always been the development of others: growing talented, engaged teams, and building long-term sustainability within every organisation I’ve led.

As European Managing Director at Gallup, I was fortunate to play a small role in the development of the CliftonStrengths Finder. That experience deepened my conviction: that individuals and teams thrive when they understand and use their strengths. My work today focuses on helping people do just that — finding joy, meaning and achievement not just in their work, but in life beyond it.

My ambition is simple: that those I work with experience greater fulfilment, individually and collaboratively, through knowing and applying their strengths — and through building organisations and communities that flourish.

Personal Philosophy

I am convinced that one of the most significant contributions we can make to the future is to intentionally invest in developing leaders who inspire and engage their followers, who model ethical standards, expect and produce excellent results and who are practically focused on improving the lives of those the organisation serves.
